East Baltimore Blue Jay Shuttle

The East Baltimore Blue Jay Shuttle provides door-to-door (from the student’s residence to campus and vice versa) transportation daily 5-9am and 5:30pm -12am. If you are traveling during those times, you should be able to get the shuttle to pick up/drop off at your home if you live within the area of service (which includes areas immediately surrounding campus as well as most of Mt Vernon, Butcher’s Hill, Fell’s Point, Patterson Park, much of Canton). A shuttle pick up can be requested via the TransLoc app during operating hours.

There is always at least one van in service that is equipped with a rear-entry lift that accommodates most mobility devices. The ADA equipment can be requested through the app by toggling a wheelchair icon. Students can also call 410-516-8700 to request an accessible ride and make their request directly with one of our dispatch team as well.

During normal business hours, you can download the Transloc app and review the interactive service area or you can use this interactive map to help determine if your residence is within the shuttler service area.

Bus Service

The Maryland Transit Authority (MTA) operates local, express and neighborhood buses in and around the Baltimore metropolitan area. Several routes make stops at the East Baltimore campus and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Review the shuttle schedule for Keswick-Homewood-Eastern-JHMI Shuttle route.  The JMHI bus is ADA compliant.

Parking

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Parking Department does not issue permanent or temporary Accessible Parking permits to individuals. Accessible parking spaces are available for employees/students who display the disability placard or have disability plates. The accessible parking spaces in Johns Hopkins Hospital lots and garages are available on a first come, first serve basis.
